Por Larrañaga Cuban Grade

Originally produced in Cuba by Ignacio Larrañaga, the Por Larrañaga brand was registered in 1834, becoming the sixth largest Cuban cigar brand and has become the oldest continuously made cigar brand.

Por Larrañaga logoThe Por Larrañaga Cuban Grade cigars were created and introduced to the U.S. market early in 2007 by Cuban Imports of Miami. They are handcrafted under supervision of Sr. Jesus Antonio Piñeda Henríquez, master blender in the Altadis S.A. Flor de Copan factory in Honduras.

Packaged 20 per box, the filler is blended from aged Honduran and Dominican tobaccos and bound with a Mexican leaf. Available in natural or maduro, the wrappers are Ecuadorian-grown Connecticut Shade or Mexican, San Andrés Valley respectively.

I found this cigar to be mild and light; imparts an earthy flavor and aroma; and draws well. I prefer more full-bodied cigars, but the robustos I smoked were perfect with my morning cup of Joe.
